Autumn leaf wreath earrings. Colours of autumn polymer clay leaves on a central round wreath dangling from sterling silver ear wires. I have mixed colours from a deep forest green shading into a golden yellow and then from orange to a deep red. The finished result is very striking. The earrings are approximately 3.5 cm x 5 cm in size.
The autumn leaf wreath earrings are a mirrored pair. This means the earrings can be worn with either the green and yellow colours close to the skin or the warm red shades. Making the earrings ideal for all skin types. I have picked the colours that sum up autumn to me. I love walking in my local Somerset area and the trees turn the most beautiful and inspiring colours imaginable. A perfect accessory for any outfit at this time of year. The leaves represent autumn but can also include spring and summer too.
Each leaf colour is blended by hand and then I cut out the individual leaves before drawing the patterns directly on the clay leaves before they are baked. Once sanded I patiently apply various coats of clear varnish, this gives the finished wreath a smooth and glossy feel. The earrings are a slow fashion made item of jewellery.
