Description
Black patterned dagger earrings. Made with a mix of black polymer clay, white acrylic paint and silver metallic leaf. I wanted to add an extra dimension to these earrings transforming them from a pair of dagger drops to something special. With the glossy topcoat the unique patterns can be appreciated and the flash of silver elevates the earrings into a pair of stunning statement earrings.
Working with the polymer clay gives me the freedom to allow my creativity full reign. I blend white acrylic paint, black clay and silver leaf combining all the pieces until a small slab is formed. This clay slab is then sliced and as a result I can see how the final pattern looks. Once I am happy I then cut out the shapes I want for your jewellery.
Each time I make a clay slab I can only cut out a very limited number of shapes. This means you get a truly unique item of jewellery. When I am choosing where to place the clay cutters I think about how to capture the most dynamic aspects of the pattern. Your earrings will be as close as possible to the ones in the photographs. Although as a hand crafted item variations will occur. Lastly I seal the polymer clay with layers of a clear glossy varnish that protects the clay and adds a wonderful elegant finish to the jewellery. Want to see a video of how the earrings look on? The black patterned dagger earrings are approximately 5 cm (2 inches) in size at the longest point and 2 cm (3/4 of an inch) at the widest point. The dagger drops are finally attached to sterling silver ear wires and will be sent to you boxed.
All parcels are posted via Royal Mail first class tracked and signed for. Current making time is 7 – 10 working days from time of ordering.
