Ladybird on leaf earrings

£25.00

Ladybird on leaf earrings. Handmade with red and green polymer clays and resin. Once the polymer clay has been baked I hand paint the black spots on the ladybird with black acrylic paint. Once the paint is dry a layer of clear resin is added to seal and protect the earrings and give a smooth and glossy finish.

As each ladybird and leaf are made and painted by hand some variations can occur but I try and get the ladybirds to match as closely as possible. The ladybirds are approximately 2.5 cm in size attached with small silver plated jump rings onto sterling silver ear wires. Your ladybird on leaf earrings will be sent to you in a gift box. These earrings would be an ideal gift for a summer birthday or for someone who loves gardening.

Current making time 7 – 10 working days from time of ordering. A matching necklace is also available. This listing is for the ladybird earrings only. A matching necklace is also available and can be seen in the gallery images.

Ladybirds or ladybugs are marvellous creatures and I love to see them in the garden. Did you know the collective name for ladybirds is Coccinellidae which has its roots in Latin meaning scarlet. The spots indicate which species it belongs to as opposed to how old the ladybird is. The term Ladybirds is commonly used in the UK and Ladybugs in the USA.
