Ladybird on leaf necklace

£15.00

Ladybird on leaf necklace. Handmade with red and green polymer clays and clear resin. I shape the ladybird and leaf and baked together. Once cooled I paint on the ladybirds spots with black acrylic paint. When the paint has dried it’s time for a layer of clear resin to be applied to seal and protect and add a smooth and glossy finish. The combination of the red and bright green are really stunning and make these cute earrings really stand out.

Your Ladybird polymer clay and resin pendant is approximately 2.5 cm in size on a 18 inch black cord necklace with a 2 inch extension chain and silver plated clasp. Your ladybird necklace will be sent to you in a gift box. This is an ideal gift for a gardener or for someone who loves bugs and nature and quirky jewellery.

Current making time is 10 – 14 days from time of ordering. This listing is for the ladybird on leaf necklace only. A matching pair of ladybird earrings are also available as seen in the gallery of images.

Did you know the collective name for ladybirds is Coccinellidae which has its roots in Latin meaning scarlet. The spots indicate which species it belongs to as opposed to how old the ladybird is. The term Ladybirds is commonly used in the UK and Ladybugs in the USA.
