Rainbow butterfly clay necklace. I am inspired by all the lovely butterflies that visit my garden to create this fantasy rainbow striped butterfly necklace. Featuring red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink colours made from polymer clay. I condition the clay and roll out into individual stripes before they are set onto a backing layer of red clay. I love how the horizontal stripes show off the bright colours. Once the clay has been baked a clear varnish is added. I have painted the layers by hand so that the stripes retain a smooth ridged feel while giving the item a shiny glossy finish.
The rainbow butterfly pendant is approximately 3 cm (1 inch) in size. The pendant is attached to a bail (the bit the chain is threaded through) onto an 18 inch chain. All sterling silver. Your rainbow butterfly clay necklace will be sent to you boxed. I will post your parcel via Royal Mail tracked and signed for service first class. Current making time is 10 – 14 working days from time of ordering.

Each polymer clay slab that I have created is slow made by hand. The small size of the clay slab means that only a limited number of pieces are cut out at a time.
